The Lion King 4: A New Generation
After learning more lessons about the pridelands, the struggling tounge baths and a delicious meal of zebra, the cubs were sent off to play…under the supervision of Timon and Pumbaa that is.
But they managed to get away from them after the two started arguing about which type of grub tastes better.
After they all got away, they decided to play a game of tag and Imani was ‘it’.
“Tag!” Imani exclaimed. “Your it!”
“Not for long!” Kion yelled.
Imani ran and hid behind a rock.
“Oh Yeah?” Imani asked playfully and giggled.
Imani looked around for the others incase they were coming.
The tan-colored cub then spotted a dark, shadowy place at the border.
“Woah!” she gawked. “Cool! The Outlands!”
“I wonder what’s out there?” she thought.
Imani’s thoughts were interrupted by a swipe of a tail, she turned around to find out that Kion had found her.
“Gotcha!” he exclaimed.
The others followed Kion to where Imani was hiding.
“Hey, why’d you give up Imani?” Sokka asked.
“Yeah, were you scared?” Jabari taunted.
“No brother! Not now, not ever!” Imani huffed.
“What were you looking at?” Amara asked.
“Uh…at the outlands?” Imani said nervously.
All the cubs were astonished.
“The OUTLANDS?!” they all exclaimed at once.
“Yeah…” Imani said.
“Hey guys! It just came to me…” Sokka started.”…what’s it like over at the outlands?”
“Yeah…what is it like over there?” Imani asked.
Jabari then struck an idea in his head
“Hey guys! If were all wondering what’s it like over there in the Outlands, why not go there ourselves!”
Amara then thumped her brother’s shoulder.
“Are you crazy?!” she said.
“Yeah..If we all went there, Uncle Kovu and Uncle Simba would literally tan our tails!” Tamira said with worry.
“That is…IF…they find out..” Sokka smiled slyly.
Amara’s eyes were filled with worry.
Zuri rolled her cyan blue eyes at Sokka and sighed out loud.
“Uh-guys..I don’t think-”
“C’mon Mara! Don’t be a party pooper! Let’s go! It’ll be in and out in a flash of 10 seconds.” Kion said.
“Oh..OK! Fine! Let’s do it!” Amara exclaimed.
“Great! Let’s GO!” Imani exclaimed.
Suddenly, the seven cubs heard two familiar voices that they thought they left behind.
“Amara! Jabari! Imani! Tamira! Sokka! Zuri! Kion!”
“Uh oh! Grandpa’s two grub loving friends found out about our little scandal.” Jabari said with worry.
“Well then we’d better get going now!” Tamira said the others.
They all nodded their heads in agreement.
“Hey kids! Where are you?”
They all started to rush away from their hiding place.
“C’mon guys! Let’s get going before Timon and Pumbaa catch us!” Imani exclaimed.
Kion then had an idea.
He lifted a rock up that released different kinds of bugs.
“This oughta keep ’em busy for a while!” Kion said.
The golden-brown cub then ran off to catch up with his cousins.
Not far behind, Timon and Pumbaa walked up to the rock where the cubs were.
“Oh Pumbaa!I told you they wouldn’t be here.” Timon said in worry.
“Don’t worry Timon!” Pumbaa reassured. “They couldn’t have gotten far.”
“Yeah, but if we don’t find them soon, Simba and Kovu are gonna use us for pouncing practice!” Timon said.
The warthog then spotted the bugs Kion released from the rock.
“Uh, Timon?” Pumbaa asked. “..How soon is soon?”
Timon looked into the warthog’s eyes.
“…And why do you ask?”
He motioned the bugs that were on the ground to Timon.
“Because those bugs sorta look like lunch..” Pumbaa said.
The meerkat looked at the bugs.
He jumped down from Pumbaa and onto the ground.
“Lunch?! Hey Simba, Kovu..We didn’t find the cubs because the warthog wanted to stop for lunch!” he yelled.
“But Timon! They’re your favorite crunchy bugs!” Pumbaa added.
Timon looked at the bugs and smiled.
“Well…Maybe we have time for a quick morsel.” he said. “I mean how much trouble can seven sweet little cubs get into?”
“That’s not what you called then when they ran away from us when we were arguing.” Pumbaa reminded him.
Timon looked dumbfounded.
“Eh..yes..well..*ahem* Never mind that Pumbaa.”
Timon took out a leaf and began to set up a picnic for them.
“It’s lunch time!”
He showed Pumbaa the picnic he set up for them.
Timon and Pumbaa then sat down and began to eat the bugs, without a care in the world about where the cubs were.
“Just one question Timon..”
“Which side does the fork go on?”
